Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub
Access needs catered for:
- ramp/step free access to all areas of the building
- accessible bathrooms (including showers)
- private gender neutral bathrooms
- kitchenette access
- access to community meeting rooms (more privacy for breastfeeding, quiet space)
- disabled parking spaces
Access from the carparks
The smaller carpark directly outside the Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub has 6 disabled parking spaces. There is a ramp to access inside the building via an automatic sliding door, with another ramp immediately to the right once inside the building, providing access to our main circus space, as well as our office and studio space down the hallway to the right at the end of the ramp. There are also stairs next to the ramp inside the building which can be used to access our spaces.
The larger carpark (located towards the church/Hindmarsh Dr) also has disabled parking spaces. It has a concrete path providing step free access up the hill to an automatic sliding door to enter the building. Our main space is located directly ahead down the corridor. Our office and studio space can be found by taking the first turn to the left after the sliding door, and then turning right at the end of the corridor. The office is then the second door on the left.
Description of the Main Circus Space
Inside our main circus space, there are shelves immediately to the left of the door inside the space to store shoes and other belongings. Most participants are asked to remove their shoes once they enter the space (please let us know if you have any concerns regarding this). There are shelves which store manipulation equipment, such as juggling balls or spinning plates, further to the left, in the corner of the room. There is blue foam matting on the floor in the space, as well as hard floor underneath our aerial rig further into the room. There are often large crash mats underneath the aerial rig. There is also a stage at the back of the space. Access to the stage from inside the main space is only by narrow stairs. There is also access (via a small step) through the backstage door, which is located in the corridor outside the space. Generally, activities in class don’t take place on the stage, as it can be hard for some participants to access.
Bathrooms/Toilets
An accessible bathroom is located in the second corridor to the left after entering the building from the ramp from the small carpark. There is also one located on the same level as our main space, around the corner to the right of the door to our main space, past the stairs at the end of the corridor, on the left.
Private, gender neutral bathrooms are located in the first corridor to the left after entering via the small carpark.
Description of the Office and Studio
The front desk/reception is located directly inside the door of our office. Our friendly office team will be more than happy to assist you with any needs, including enrolments, fees, circus shop order pick ups/enquiries and more.
The circus studio space is located next door to our office. Please ask office staff for directions if needed.

Kaleen High School
Access needs catered for:
- ramp/step free access to all areas of the building
- disabled parking space/s
Access from the carpark
There is a disabled parking space located outside the Kaleen High School front office, approximately in the middle of the carpark. There is a concrete ramp located near the bus shelter at the far end of the carpark which provides a step free entrance (through a hinged door which opens outwards) to enter the space to the high school’s gym and drama suite, where we run our classes. The front office entrance has an automatic sliding door and ramp access to the gym and drama suite, but is only open during and just after school hours. However, it is always possible to exit after hours through this door. There is a bus stop located on Baldwin Drive, directly outside the school. Following the path along the road, a step free path can be found into the carpark and to the school gym and drama suite.
Toilets
Male and female toilets are located in the corridor between the gym and the drama suite.
Description of the Gym
The gym is a large space which is used for the majority of our classes at Kaleen. After entering through the door at the end of the concrete ramp from the carpark, continue straight through the doors into the gym. The gym has indoor sports court flooring, and high ceilings. We usually set up two large foam tumble mats on the nearest side to the main entry, and use the aerial points located on this side of the gym for classes. There are also another set of aerial points on the far side of the gym.
There are no benches or specific places to store personal belongings, but please ask if you would like a chair to stay and watch a class. Most participants are asked to remove their shoes once they enter the space (please let us know if you have any concerns regarding this). The Kaleen gym can be quite cold in winter, so please bring appropriate clothing/layers.
The gym can be quite echoing, and has bright LED overhead lights. Sometimes trainers play music from a speaker during classes, but please reach out to let us know your preferences regarding music and we will accommodate where possible.
Description of the Drama Suite
The drama suite is located down the corridor to the left, once you enter the building from the ramp down from the carpark. It is the third door on the left. The drama suite has smooth lino flooring. There are two aerial points in the ceiling, located to the right of the main door. There are also large mirrors on the far right wall, as the space is used for dance classes during school hours.
There are usually some drama blocks or chairs along the wall close to the door, and there are shelves directly across the room from the door which participants can places shoes and other items in. Most participants are asked to remove their shoes once they enter the space (please let us know if you have any concerns regarding this).
The drama suite has lower ceilings so is usually less echoing than the gym. Sometimes trainers play music from a speaker during classes, but please reach out to let us know your preferences regarding music and we will accommodate where possible.
