School Programs
School and Community Programs
Warehouse Circus provides programs for several schools and community groups in the ACT each term. Our school programs:
- Foster a supportive and co-operative environment
- Increase participation and engagement in school
- Encourage young people to be active
- Are suitable for all athletic abilities
- Assist in the development of step by step learning which transfers to other areas of school
- Aid social development and increase self-esteem
Students can learn a variety of manipulation skills (such as juggling balls, clubs, rings, hoops, diabolo, trick sticks, poi and plate spinning) as well as group skipping, unicycling and stilts. We can work with students to produce a demonstration of their skills for the rest of the school at the end of term.
Warehouse Circus offers term long programs directly to schools as well as through and for specific community groups. Warehouse Circus can also tailor a program for specific target groups including young people with special needs, physical disabilities, mental health or social issues, youth at risk of disengaging from school, young people at risk of negative health outcomes due to lack of physical activity and young people with diverse cultural backgrounds facing barriers to social inclusion including language barriers and cultural differences.
Circus has proven effective in achieving significant outcomes in all these areas. Please contact us to discuss your program needs and receive a tailored quote. Breakdowns of quotes and letters of support can also be provided for grant applications involving our services.
